Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, this new and up and coming author is promoting her first fiction novel, "Out Of Control". After moving to Los Angeles from San Diego in 1990, D'Bora pursued the music business where she made her musical debut spoken word CD. 

With the knowledge and experience she gained from the music business helped her land a position as a personal assistant to the legendary Lionel Richie. Other celebrities where soon to follow such as; Mark Curry "Hanging with Mr. Cooper", Michael Baisden author of "Never Satisfied", "Maintenance Man" and "Men Cry In The Dark", Cybill Shepherd and Janet Leigh. She worked on "The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show", Comedy Central's "Don't Forget Your Toothbrush" and the daytime talk show, "Talk or Walk".

She started exploiting her writing abilities writing her own lyrics, then short stories. Shortly after, she was accepted at UCLA in the Writer's Program on a scholarship. She wrote spec scripts for "For Your Love" and "Everybody Loves Raymond". She has written a script for Michael Bivens and two of her screenplays have created interest at the Lifetime Movie Channel. Out of all that, what she really wanted to do was write a book.

Once nailing down a subject to write about which pertains to women in today's society. "Out of Control" was created; about a young girl raised by her father and was taught how to run her life, relationships and business with a man's mentality. This book depicts strong characters with their ups and downs and stumbling blocks. It's a novel about true friendship, pursuing your dreams, how to take charge of your life and how things can get, "OUT OF CONTROL".

This author writes with style and has a fresh and unique approach to saying what needs to be said. She's inspiring, uplifting and REAL.
