Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shahid Muhammad has become a powerfully dynamic and inspirational speaker. His lecture style has mesmerized and enlivened audiences across the United States. Mr. Muhammad has a unique speaking style that motivates and appeals to Black youth.
He received a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Lincoln University and has served as the Director of the Masters of Adult Education Developmental Studies Program at National Louis University. He served as head of the Mathematics Department at the Muhammad University in Chicago where he monitored and evaluating the entire Mathematics program and developed curriculum.

Mr. Muhammad has been a high school mathematics instructor for the past decade receiving recognition for his teaching and research excellence. In 1993 he received the distinguished "Who's Who Among America's Teachers Award."

A graduate of Penn State University, Shahid Muhammad has a special interest in and dedication to improving the mathematical competency and performance of Black students.

"The Math Doctor," Shahid Muhammad has written and published several books.

" How To Teach Math To Black Students" is considered a favorite among educators and scholars alike.

He desires to use this book to improve the level of mathematical literacy of Black students. His books are available in bookstores across the United States.
