Challenging A Mindset
Taking a moment from his hectic schedule as executive director of the Truth Establishment Institute and online correspondent for The Final Call, Ashahed Muhammad sat down with Nubian Muhammad to answer a few questions about the penetrating research found in his debut book, “The Synagogue of Satan.”
Final Call (FC): Why did you choose the title “The Synagogue of Satan” for your latest work?
Ashahed M. Muhammad (AMM): Satan is referred to as an angel who attempts to usurp the position – in terms of power and dominion – of God.
The word “of” is used functionally to indicate possession or a possessive relationship. The word “of” is also used to demonstrate a relationship between things or people determined by an operation, mission or direct origin.
The word synagogue is of course the name of the religious center used by practitioners of Judaism however, it should be noted that many of Judaism’s adherents use the word temple. Though the usage of the term has become synonymous with Jews, it could simply be an established house of worship used interchangeably with church or mosque. In some scriptural language, synagogue refers simply to ‘a gathering of men’ or ‘place of
assembly.’ To refer to the Synagogue of Satan then refers rightfully to a gathering of individuals in a collective – acting as functional and operational agents of Satan.
FC: The title alone may cause some to automatically assume that this book is touting hatred of Judaism. What message do you want to relay to its potential readers?
AMM: First of all, assumptions are flawed and dangerous. I would never advocate hatred of adherents of Judaism. We are not taught that. This book is not about that at all. The title, though provocative is not meant to offend or incite. The words are drawn from text contained in the most widely read book on the planet Earth – the Bible. (Revelation 2:9 ) By the late 20th century, the entire Bible had been translated into 250 languages and portions of it into more than 1,300 other languages. In our experience, specifically during our sojourn here in America, The Bible is a book that has been used by our enemies to justify evil primarily as a result of the corruption of their hearts.
I want the readers of the book to come away with a better understanding of the law of cause and effect. If the effect is real, the cause is real. The causes should be studied so that the harmful effects can be avoided. The conditions in the world are being produced by real men, however, many who are impacted by their decisions do not see the cause of the very real suffering that they are experiencing.
The fact of the matter is that a majority of the members of the human population of the planet find themselves set in motion with the Satanic mind of white supremacy as their activating instruction set. However, it is a condition that can be immediately eliminated with a clear and concise explanation of facts and the rearrangement of the relationships that currently determine societal leadership structure.
It is not religion, it is not political affiliation, it is not economic status, though all of those are aspects of our hidden reality. It is a mindset that must be challenged, eliminated and destroyed.
FC: Who are the “members” of the synagogue of Satan? Who do they have influence over? What is their ultimate goal?
AMM: I can give no better definition than the one given by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan at the National Press Club on May 3rd 2004 in which he stated: “The Synagogue of Satan is a gathering of persons of like mind and spirit who are in opposition to the will of God.”
There are layers of deception created by those who impact society on all levels. From the media manipulators who shape the minds and views of the nations of the world to the swindlers who rule the economic realm with impunity. Of course it extends to those with access to the halls of power in the political realm along with the sinister influence and unmitigated control of nations over which they hold sway.
If dominance is gained and wealth is achieved using wickedness and devious means, then the same types of tactics must be used to maintain control. That is their aim and their goal. The continuance of global domination.
FC: Please describe the main method of attacks that Black scholarship and leadership are victims of—whether they are aware or unaware?
AMM: Excellent question. There is an attack directed at scholarship and research that comes from outside of “mainstream” circles. For example, one situation dealt with in great detail in my book is the attack directed at Professor Tony Martin, of Wellesley College. Professor Martin is one of the greatest intellectuals within our community. His scholarship and research dealing with Pan-Africanism and the study of the life and mission of Marcus Garvey is unmatched, however, he was attacked by Jewish groups who objected to the fact that he selected “The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews” as a supplemental reading text for his class.
He was threatened with removal from his teaching post, received threats on his life and he was vilified in the media. As you know, tenured professors are able to choose whatever texts they want for their classes, but in Professor Martin’s case, there was another standard applied. Professor Leonard Jeffries and other Black scholars have been victimized by attempts to discredit their work as a result of their courage to speak truth and spread knowledge to the masses.
And of course, many have witnessed the ongoing attack on the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan who has been labeled an anti-Semite. Though untrue, this has been repeated in the media so many times that it has almost become a de facto title given to him by the enemy. Specifically, groups such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the American Jewish Congress and the Simon Wiesenthal Center utilize their considerable financial largesse and extensive connections within the media to spread lies and rumors against anyone that is slightly critical of Israel. Not to mention the expansive power of the muscular AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) political lobby which heavily influences American foreign policy.
They ADL sends their “fact-kits” to Black political leaders asking them to disavow this particular leader or that particular group or distance themselves from their activities as you witnessed with the (February 14th 2005) ADL missive aimed at Russell Simmons asking him to distance himself from Minister Farrakhan and the ADL letter (May 2nd 2005) asking the Black leaders who had joined the Millions More Movement to reconsider their involvement.
As you can see, their strategy is to divide and conquer. This is their modus operandi.
Perhaps we should ask Black political and religious leaders along with fair-minded people of all races and creeds to disavow and repudiate Abraham Foxman and the ADL as a result of their actions throughout history that have proven to be anti-Black?
FC: What is your definition of propaganda? How should one handle propaganda?
AMM: Propaganda can be any method of mass communication aimed at producing a specific reaction in the minds of the recipients. In most cases, propaganda represents a specific party line or official position that the creators want established within the minds of the masses. Propaganda is a science and in the way that most can easily understand, it has been used for tremendous evil.
Any time propaganda is aimed at Black leadership specifically, or the Black community in general, it should be answered vigorously and accurately. The best minds should use their access to mass media outlets to defend by writing articles and books, representing truth on the radio and on television talk shows to respond with intellectual arguments not emotional rhetoric.
Our Black leaders and scholars who have demonstrated their integrity and commitment to our liberation should not have to defend themselves. It is up to those of us who have been favorably impacted by their words and benefited from their sacrifices to defend them against those who do not have our best interests in mind.
FC: Why did you choose Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, National Chairman of the New Black Panther Party, to write the Foreword?
AMM: I did not really choose Chairman Malik to write the foreword for the book. Allah (God) arranged it. His spirit, strength and determination are admirable, and we are generational peers who have been impacted by many of the same cultural forces. It became apparent as we discussed topics affecting Black people that we have similar worldviews. It was a natural and logical thing for him to do so.
Traditionally, when a foreword is written for a book, it sets the tone and introduces the topic of the book. Chairman Malik’s words definitely did that and he was able to do it despite his tremendous schedule. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with him, and I believe that our real work has only just begun.
FC: What do you hope this book offers readers?
AMM: Many of our people accept things on face value. If something is said on the news or in the newspaper, then it is assumed that it is true. In this world, what appears on the surface is usually not the reality. The War on Iraq and “vanishing” Weapons of Mass Destruction are just two well known examples, however there are many more. This manipulation of the masses must end, and we have been given the responsibility to end it. We do that by providing accurate information to those seeking truth.
This is something that we must do if we are to prevent our people from continuing on a Death March that will lead to our elimination. I believe that we are obligated to do so. With greater knowledge comes greater responsibility.
FC: Are there any upcoming projects?
AMM: There are several ongoing research projects in motion as well as another major book project that I have been working on which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2006. The Truth Establishment Institute is also active in the expansion of our Speakers’ Bureau so that we can get our Black scholars and leaders back on the college campuses to deliver the light of wisdom and knowledge to the next generation of Black thinkers. We must move forward with a collective and unified strategy or we will always find ourselves living within another dominant reality. There is a war going on right now. An information war. A battle for the minds of our people.
